I've been using COB on two different servers (called LANGUR and MARMOSET) to back up files. I need a copy of our database on an EC2 server to get mirroring working and so I installed the trial version of COB server edition onto the EC2 server. I've configured the AWS account and in the dropdown for machine name I've selected MARMOSET (it reads the names OK from the bucket) but when I go to the backup storage tab it's empty, even if I click refresh again. If I change the machine name to LANGUR it reads all the files in the backup fine and I can restore files from it.

Any idea why it's working for one machine's backups and not another? This is a bit worrying if marmoset blows up and we need to restore files from it on another machine.

Hi Imayne,

Online Backup uses its own local repository for storing history details and a list of backed up files (it improves working with S3 storage and reduced number of requests). At the moment you configured S3 account with MARMOSET, you have to run "Synchronize Repository" to sync S3 storage data with the local repository. Go to Tools | Advanced: click "Synchronize Repository", select a right S3 account to sync. When sync complete, you will see the files on Backup Storage view and will be able to restore them.

Thanks,

Hi again,

Please refresh the Backup Content view. If no files there, could you send us the diagnostic logs (Tools | Diagnostic Log, click Send)?

Thanks,
