I couldn't find mention of it anywhere, and F1/Help has stopped working on CBOB since I installed 1.6.0.29 (or possibly earlier).
Is it possible to make a copy of a backup plan? I have an existing plan and I want to make another one that is the same except for the source folders. The wizard makes it quick to set up a new plan, apart from one thing:
If you have a long list of file extensions to exclude, it takes a long time to enter them using the "Exclude Files" dialog. If there was a function that created a clone of an existing backup plan, the task would be greatly eased.
FOOTNOTE
An alternative, and one that would be trivial for you to implement, would be to enable the edit fields on the Advanced Filter wizard page so that you could enter the extensions list directly instead of by the "Exclude Files" dialog. Then it would be a simple copy/paste operation to transfer a long list of file exclusions from one backup plan to another. It would also allow me to use an editor to prepare the exclusion list, which would be faster for me.
TIA Ross

Hi Ross,
You can copy backup plan *manually*; for future to automate copy plan can be a good feature (thanks!). Well, the steps are the following:
(Make sure Backup Console is not running) 1. Go to your profile: For WinXP,2003: C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Local Settings\Application Data\CloudBerry Backup Server Edition\ (or "CloudBerry Online Backup" for Desktop edition) For Vista,Win7,2008: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\CloudBerry Backup Server Edition\ (or "CloudBerry Online Backup" for Desktop edition)
2. Find the .cbb file. If you have multiple plans, just open each .cbb file and you will find the plan by the <Name> tag there. 3. Copy/paste a proper .cbb file 4. Rename copied file by changing the GUID: for example, change the first character 5. Open this .cbb file and change <ID> tag with the same GUID as .cbb file name That's done.
Go to the CloudBerry Online Backup console and find there an original and copied plans.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, Juli, CloudBerryLab Team

Hmmmm..... I think we can see why it would be a useful function to add..!
Thanks Juli. Don't you think my idea of enabling the edit field is a simple fix?
Best regards, Ross

Hi Ross,
Yes, managing extentions is better to make more flexible. Agree :)
